About This Course
Emotional intelligence (EI) is a crucial skill for fostering inclusive, affirming, and equitable environments in healthcare, education, and social services. This interactive workshop explores the powerful intersection of EI and LGBTQ+ inclusive care, equipping participants with the tools to navigate complex emotional landscapes while fostering trust, safety, and belonging for LGBTQ+ individuals.
Through engaging discussions, self-assessment, and real-world applications, participants will deepen their understanding of EI’s core components—self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills—and learn how these skills directly impact their ability to provide affirming and inclusive care. By the end of this workshop, participants will gain practical, actionable techniques to strengthen their emotional intelligence and create more inclusive, supportive environments for LGBTQ+ individuals across various professional settings.
