Course Overview:
Anxiety disorders are common conditions that impact millions of people worldwide. While having an anxiety disorder can be extremely debilitating to an individual on its own, it also is associated with a heightened likelihood of experiencing thoughts of suicide and engaging in self-destructive behaviors. Clinicians must be prepared to properly assess for and manage risk of suicide ideation and behavior in clients presenting with anxiety disorders.
In this engaging workshop, we will delve into enhancing your expertise in suicide risk assessment within the context of anxiety-related disorders. You'll explore cutting-edge, evidence-based suicide prevention approaches tailored to individuals grappling with anxiety-related disorders. Additionally, we'll address the ethical complexities often encountered in the field of suicide prevention and equip you with valuable strategies to safeguard against clinician burnout when working with high-risk individuals.
