Training Changes/Cancellations and Inclement Weather

Live (online or in-person) workshops are subject to enrollment and can become over-enrolled/sold out (a waitlist is opened in such situations) or under-enrolled, in which case a training may need to be cancelled. Trainings may also be subject to date changes due to various factors including, but not limited to, inclement weather, presenter date conflict, location problems (for in-person trainings), and other factors. ATTENDEES WILL BE NOTIFIED ASAP BY EMAIL OF ANY WORKSHOP CHANGES AND MAY BE ASKED TO PROVIDE A REPLY OR RESPONSE SO ELEVATE CE STAFF CAN ENSURE THAT ALL ATTENDEES HAVE RECEIVED THE CHANGE OR CANCELLATION INFORMATION.
For live in-person trainings, Elevate Continuing Education reserves the right to change workshop locations or rooms. In the event that a location is changed, participants will be notified via email or phone no later than one week prior to the scheduled date of the workshop.
Elevate Continuing Education also reserves the right to change the workshop location, including changing in-person workshops to an online format due to any unforeseen emergency situations, such as a power outage at the original workshop location, weather emergencies, health emergencies, or any other emergency circumstance. Participants will be notified of any change as soon as possible.
Instructors and/or workshop coordinators reserve the right to dismiss participants who are disruptive, disrespectful, or otherwise unruly during a workshop. Under these circumstances, NO REFUND will be provided. The participant’s CEU Certificate will be adjusted to reflect the number of credit hours that they attended for.
MD CEU Institute reserves the right to cancel workshops that are undersubscribed. Registrants will be notified no later than one week prior to the cancelled training. Registrants of workshops cancelled by Elevate Continuing Education can request either a full refund or a course credit to be used within 6 months from the date of issue.

Inclement Weather and Unforeseen Circumstances Policy

In the event of severe inclement weather Elevate Continuing Education is typically able to hold Live Zoom trainings online. This may include a training that was schedule to be online or a training may change from in-person to online due to inclement weather.Elevate Continuing Education does reserve the right to cancel a Live Online Zoom training due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances in the event that it has a negative impact on the Institute's ability to host the training online (e.g., power outage at administrative office) or the ability for the workshop presenter to provide their training.
For in-person trainings: Elevate Continuing Education will make a determination about holding a workshop or choosing to cancel or postpone based on whether the workshop venue will be open or closed for the day. Elevate Continuing Education, however, does reserve the right to make independent decisions regarding inclement weather.
For in-person or online trainings, a determination may need to be made on the day of the workshop. All registered participants will be notified directly by email as soon as a decision has been made. We will also make every attempt to post this information on our website when a determination has been made.

If a workshop is rescheduled due to inclement weather, the registered participants have the option to attend the workshop on the new date, receive a credit for the amount paid towards a different workshop, or receive a full refund.
We will make every effort to keep registered participants aware of the decisions that have been made and in most circumstances will use email as the main form of communication. If you have registered for a workshop and have not received our email communications please check your spam folder and then call us at 301-539-9355.
Attendance, Participation, and Conduct
Attendance and CE Credit Policy
Participants are expected to arrive on time to workshops to receive full credit and so as not to disturb the instructor or others attending the workshop. Attendees must be present and participate to a reasonable extent (i.e., respond to most presenter questions in chat for online trainings, participate in breakout rooms) throughout the entire training and complete an evaluation at the conclusion of the training. This is the same for in-person workshops and online live Zoom webinars. For live Zoom webinars the doors open in Zoom approximately 15 minutes prior to the start of the training. We strongly suggest that participants login early so they can complete the virtual sign-in sheet provided in Zoom.
While we understand emergencies do occur, CE certificates will be adjusted for any attendee who missed more than 15 minutes of any training. Participants who have credits deducted or are awarded no CE Credits due to missed attendance are not eligible for refunds or credits towards future trainings. Adjustment of CE Certificates are at the sole discretion of Elevate Continuing Education's Directors.

Please note that attendance is tracked in detail and checked prior to the issuance of CE Certificates.
Any attendee experiencing technical difficulties must contact Elevate Continuing Education at info@elevatece.com or 301-539-9355 on the day of the training to inform us about the problem and so we can assist you. If you are having technical problems and do not inform us of the issue we cannot provide any refunds or credits towards a future for any part of the workshop that you may have missed.
Evaluation Policy
Training participants are required to complete a training evaluation at the conclusion of each training that they attend. This is required in order to receive continuing education credits. When attending Live Zoom Webinars, attendees are provided with a link to the training evaluation at the conclusion of the training and expected to complete the evaluation within a 15 minute timeframe prior to exiting the Zoom training. Evaluations links are not emailed to attendees after the training - attendees must be present at their computer to receive the link and complete the evaluation. The evaluation is also considered the attendee's sign-out from the training and an additional means to ensure attendees are present at their computer. If an attendee does not complete the evaluation in the 15 minute window, inform a Elevate Continuing Education staff member in the training that they are having a problem or are unable to complete the evaluation, or email info@elevatece.com to state that they are having a problem completing the evaluation, they will have a minimum of 0.5 CE Credits deducted from their CE Certificate. In the event that the detailed training attendance logs show that the attendee was not present in Zoom for an additional portion of the training, they will have additional credits deducted or, depending on the amount of time, may not be able to receive any credits at all.
Conduct Policy
Instructors and/or Elevate Continuing Education staff reserve the right to dismiss participants who are disruptive, disrespectful, or otherwise unruly during a workshop. Under these circumstances, NO REFUND OR CREDIT TOWARDS ANOTHER TRAINING will be provided. The participant’s CE Certificate will be adjusted to reflect the number of credit hours that they attended for.
