Course Overview:

Behavioral Sleep Medicine (BSM) interventions, which are non-medication management strategies, can help clients presenting with certain sleep disorders.  During this sleep training for mental health professionals, attendees will learn how to assess for insomnia and delayed sleep phase syndrome, sleep disorders that are likely present in their client populations.  Evidence-based BSM treatments for insomnia and delayed sleep phase syndrome will be discussed in a way such that attendees will be able to take back tools to implement in their practice.  Specifically, attendees will be introduced to the gold standard for insomnia treatment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).  Strategies will also be discussed for managing delayed sleep phase, a circadian rhythm disorder that is especially prevalent in adolescents and early adults.

This is a must-attend CE training for social workers, professional counselors, and other mental health professionals. Improving sleep is a key element in improved mental health and wellbeing. Clinicians will leave with sleep improvement tools to bring back to their practice and begin using immediately. Make sleep a priority and sign-up for this training.

Presenter:
