3.0 CREDIT HOURS

  • FULFILLS Maryland Anti-Oppressive Social Work 3 CE Requirement AND new Structural Racism Training Requirement
  • Provides 3.0 ASWB ACE Cultural Competence Credits to fulfill cultural diversity requirements for social workers in: Connecticut, Mississippi, Massachusetts, Arizona, Rhode Island, Texas, New Jersey, Illinois, Michigan, Maryland (see above), Missouri, and more

Course Overview:

This training helps participants move beyond individual-level cultural awareness and explore how  structural racism shapes trauma, trust, service access, treatment engagement, and long-term  outcomes. It is designed for professionals who want practical tools for delivering more responsive care  while also understanding the broader systems that influence client experience.

Grounded in trauma-informed care and cultural intelligence, the session gives staff a framework for  recognizing how policy, institutional habits, professional norms, and racialized inequities can produce  harm even when people have good intentions. Participants are encouraged to reflect on both personal  practice and system-level conditions.

The result is a training that is both reflective and practical: participants leave with a stronger grasp of  structural racism, clearer language for discussing inequity, and concrete strategies they can apply in  daily interactions, team processes, and organizational decision-making.

This course fulfills the new 3 CE Maryland requirement for Anti-Oppressive Social Work CE credits AND the new Structural Racism training requirement. This training also meets cultural diversity CE requirements for many other states: Connecticut, Mississippi, Massachusetts, Arizona, Rhode Island, Texas, New Jersey, Illinois, Michigan, Maryland (see above), Missouri, and more.
