About This Course
Cultural humility is a foundational element of ethical and effective clinical practice. In this 1-hour recorded webinar, practitioners will explore key concepts of culture and diversity, intersectionality, trauma and intersectionality, cultural competency, and cultural humility. Participants will be encouraged to engage in self-reflection around personal biases and beliefs while deepening their understanding of how cultural identity and trauma intersect in the therapeutic space.
The training highlights the distinction between cultural competency and cultural humility and offers practical strategies to support a client-driven approach that promotes safety and inclusivity. Designed as an accessible, focused training, this course provides 1.0 CE credit hour (accepted in 48+ states).
Please note: this training does NOT count towards the new Maryland Anti-Oppressive Social Work CE requirement. This course provides Category II CE Credit for Maryland Social Workers and the new requirement must be completed via Category I credit.
