How many of the required renewal credits for Louisiana Social Workers must be Live In-Person vs. Distance Learning Online?
Currently, Louisiana does not recognize synchronous (live) online learning as in person. Therefore, Louisiana Social Workers must earn 10 of their 20 total CE credits through live in-person trainings, currently defined by the board as those in which the presenter and audience is in the same physical room during the training. The other 10 required CE Credits may be completed via distance learning, which includes live webinars (synchronous) and pre-recorded on-demand trainings (asynchronous) per renewal cycle.
What type of CE credits does Elevate CE offer Louisiana Social Workers?
Elevate CE provides Live (synchronous) and Pre-recorded (asynchronous) webinar training for Louisiana Social Workers. Both of these training options count towards the 10 total distance learning credits allowed for Louisiana Social Workers during this renewal cycle. *As stated above, Louisiana considers Live (synchronous) webinars as distance learning and not in-person credits.
Elevate CE is an approved provider through the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) and the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC).
