Renewal Deadline: Every 2 Years on Even Years Based on Licensees DOB
Renewal Frequency: Every 2 years in even years
How many CEs do Massachusetts social workers need for renewal?
Licensed Social Worker (LSW): 15 Hours every two years
Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW): 20 Hours every two years
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW): 30 Hours every two years
Licensed Social Work Associate (LSWA): 10 Hours every two years
SPECIAL TOPIC REQUIREMENTS (required for all licensure levels):
2 hours in anti-racism with a focus on oppression
1 Hour one in anti-discrimination, addressing oppression because of ethnicity, national origin, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, political belief, religion, immigration status, and/or mental or physical ability.
